National Social Housing Safety & Compliance Week 2022
National Social Housing and Compliance Week each year is dedicated to shining a spotlight on safety and compliance at an operational, strategic and cultural level. It is an opportunity for the wider sector to come together, to make homes safer than before in the national conversation that takes place during National Social Housing Safety and Compliance Week. It is not only a tribute to the Grenfell tragedy, but will help design a “new way,” shifting culture around safety.
National Social Housing Safety and Compliance Week also supports Dame Judith Hackitt’s calls for the sector to act faster and address safety cultural issues. Given QHS works 24/7, 365 days a year in the Social Housing Sector, we are committing to this year's National Social Housing and Compliance Week by already taking part by featuring on the Challenge for Safety Wall, undertaking the National Safety Survey and uploading the QHS logo as keen supporters and sponsors of this important campaign.
Thankfully, since the tragic Grenfell disaster, the sector has made progress, however it is widely known that transformational change is needed to make all the improvements required a reality. These vital changes will take time, but here at QHS we passionately believe that we should take responsibility to avert potential disasters in the future by committing to small and large actions here and now.
The team at QHS takes pride in safely and honestly driving the highest possible quality and service delivery standards, as it is entirely thanks to our team’s dedication that QHS can consistently fulfil, and often exceed, its obligations to our clients.
At the top of QHS’s 3 core values is safety, and since the start of the pandemic our staff has developed a real resilience in dealing with the knock-on operational effects of COVID-19 ensuring the safest possible working environment for our staff, working closely in collaboration with our clients to achieve the most efficient and safest way to deliver on site services.
For the safety of residents, compliance professionals and their organisations, join QHS in supporting the 2022 National Social Housing Safety and Compliance Week that is taking place from 7th to 11th March. By doing this you will be able to help shape the future roadmap and shift learning, leadership and culture around safety to move beyond compliance.
