Equality, Diversity and Human Rights Week
Taking place 9-13 May 2022, #EQW2022 is a national campaign for health and care organisations run by NHS Employers, who support workforce leaders and represent employers to develop a sustainable workforce and be the best employers they can be, aims which QHS endorse. They also manage the relationships with NHS trade unions on behalf of the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care.
#EQW2022 is a national platform for organisations to highlight their work to create a fairer and more inclusive NHS for patients and staff. Now in it's 10th year, Equality, Diversity and Human Rights Week is a platform for health and care organisations to highlight their work to create a fairer and more inclusive NHS for patients and staff.
During the week, health and care organisations from across the UK support the campaign and host activities to promote and celebrate the great work taking place around equality, diversity and inclusion.
The week coincides with other national campaigns such as mental health awareness week and national staff networks day, and these campaigns are linked to these in some of the daily themes of #EQW2022 which include Inclusive Recruitment, Staff Networks, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Intersectionality and Diversity in the Workplace, which are again all aims and aspirations that QHS applaud and support, given we are an accredited Living Wage Employer in London and the Home Counties.
As a business who works a lot in Social Housing, we take the Health, Safety and Wellbeing of our employees very seriously. QHS always aims to be a great place to work and get on, with a great employee value proposition to reward, develop and retain people. Our ongoing commitment to diversity throughout our workforce, gives QHS the ability to communicate with the vast majority of customers in Social Housing in their own language, as it has employees who between them can speak between 12-14 different languages.
