The Association of Safety & Compliance Professionals (ASCP) is hosting the ASCP Safety & Compliance Awards at Celtic Manor on Tuesday 14th June 2022, with the support of ASCP Awards Headline Sponsor Fireangel.
There are 14 Award Categories in 2022, and ASCP Corporate Members Quality Heating Services Ltd (QHS) has been shortlisted in 3 of these categories:
- Gas Safety & Compliance Initiative of the Year Award - Sponsored by Grundfos
- Heating Contractor of the Year Award - Sponsored by Vaillant
- Rising Star Award – QHS Business Support Co-Ordinator Adam Wright - Sponsored by AICO
Gas Safety & Compliance Initiative of the Year Award - Sponsored by Grundfos
The philosophy behind this award is that ASCP are seeking to recognise and reward those solutions offered to help create a safer place to work and live. As part of a Gas Safety & Compliance Initiative, AICO trained QHS Gas Service Engineers working for St Albans City and District Council are now able to identity alarms requiring upgrade or replacement during a routine Gas Service visit, leading to safer homes, better and swifter compliance, whilst reducing inconvenience for residents, resulting in higher levels of resident satisfaction.
Heating Contractor of the Year Award - Sponsored by Vaillant
The ASCP Heating Contractor of the Year was formerly known as the "Gas Contractor of the Year Award". In 2022 ASCP are looking to recognise a heating contractor who has provided exceptional support and demonstrated outstanding professionalism, innovation or service contribution to a project or contract – or who has a particular story of excellence to share. AICO Regional Specification Manager Ben Malton has trained the QHS Gas Service Engineers working in St Albans, assisting them to identity alarms requiring upgrade or replacement during the annual gas service and safety check, leading to safer homes, efficient and better compliance and improved convenience for residents, as these works can now be delivered in a single visit. QHS engineers are AICO Expert Installers, trained in head replacement and house coding and carry imprest van stock(s), to enable a successful first visit first fix.
Rising Star Award - Sponsored by AICO
For the 2022 ASCP Rising Star Award, ASCP state on their Awards website that they are looking to reward a special individual who is making a difference in the organisation, bringing improvements for residents or working towards positive change in the industry. QHS are very proud that our Business Support Co-Ordinator Adam Wright (who first joined QHS as an apprentice in June 2017) has been nominated for the 2022 ASCP Rising Star Award. See below QHS Director testimonial.
Adam Wright Testimonial
“When Adam joined QHS as an apprentice in 2017, his work ethic was immediately apparent to myself and he soon seamlessly fitted in with the rest of the QHS Team. Ever since Adam’s induction with us his dedication to each task he is set has been evident to all, which when combined with the positive initiatives and internal improvements he has driven, has resulted in Adam transforming into a highly valuable team player, especially as he has aligned himself with our culture, ethics and 3 core values of Quality, Honesty and Safety.
During his time at QHS Adam has made a real impact as an individual, on his fellow colleagues, with our suppliers and Clients, thanks to his positive influence, desire to learn and his ongoing commitment to our values and goals. We are very confident that due to having such loyal and dedicated staff like Adam, we will undoubtedly fulfil our company vision and our approach corporate and social responsibility that concentrates on five social value themes of Community, Economic, Employees, Environment and Trust which directly contribute to our strategic priorities as a responsible business.
Since first joining QHS as an apprentice Adam has transitioned from being a general clerk to both IT and Finance, giving him an overview of most elements of the business, which is ideal preparation to enable him to hopefully very soon become a Manager of the future.”
